Elton John will re-release his seminal 1973 double album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road on March 25th as a deluxe edition on CD, vinyl and limited-edition yellow vinyl. It’ll also be released as a box set with a DVD of the long out-of-print 1973 Bryan Forbes film Elton John and Bernie Taupin Say Goodbye to Norma Jean and Other Things and a 100-page hardback book about the making of the album.

Some of the new editions will contain a tribute album of nine Goodbye Yellow Brick Road songs covered by Ed Sheeran, Fall Out Boy, the Zac Brown Band, Miguel featuring Wale, Hunter Hayes, the Band Perry, John Grant, Emeli Sande and Imelda May.
Right around the time the new editions of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road hit shelves, a film of Elton’s Las Vegas show, The Million Dollar Piano, will play at 500 movie theaters in America and 1,200 in over 40 other countries. The concert will screen on March 18th, with an encore showing on March 26th. “I am thrilled that the film of my Million Dollar Piano show will be coming to cinemas worldwide,” John tells Rolling Stone. “I am so very proud of the show. It has something for everyone.”
The “Million Dollar Piano” show, which debuted in September 2011, is John’s second Las Vegas show. It focuses on huge hits like “Bennie and the Jets” and “Tiny Dancer,” but it also showcases deep cuts including “Indian Sunset” and “Better Off Dead.” Check out our exclusive premiere of “Crocodile Rock” here.
Elton John resumes his heavy touring schedule on February 1st with a show at Youngstown, Ohio’s Covelli Centre. He has shows booked across North America, South America and Europe through the end of the year, along with a month-long stop in Las Vegas in April.
