Twitter star ‘Chuck’ picked up for 13 episodes, ‘Cold Case’ close to renewal

‘Chuck,’ the NBC show that inspired a massive Internet campaign -- which included a group of television journalists -- has been picked up for 13 episodes. The network announced its new shows two weeks ago but will present its schedule, including renewals, on Tuesday.

And ‘Cold Case,’ a CBS show on the bubble, is reportedly close to being renewed. Which may be bad news for Without a Trace’ -- the two successful but expensive procedurals were said to be vying for one renewal slot. CBS’ upfront is Wednesday.
