It’s a little known fact that Ms Karobka trained in a secret Ukraine location where her lifted weight amounts were constantly tracked. Too bad you didn’t show the attractive ones. A lot of Olympic-level women weightlifters are extremely attractive, and you wouldn’t even be able to tell they lift weights if you saw them on the street. These ogres are an exception, thankfully.

The last picture (#7) doesn’t give Cheryl any justice. Then again, she’s giving her sport everything she can muster in that pic. Being from Savannah and meeting Ms. Hayworth a few times in person, this young lady is absolutely gorgeous and inspirational. I surely wish her the best this 2008 and cheering her on to bring home the gold!

You are posting pictures of these women in the middle of their game. I have yet to see ANY weightlifter, male or female, that looks good when lifting 400+ lbs. Cheryl is a lovely young lady and a role model for many young people.
Thank goodness Internet access is extremely filtered in Beijing; odds are good she won’t see the hurtful words being hurled against her and her competitors.
BTW–you aren’t going to find that many women in real life that look like the ones in your sidebar.
Having recently lost my 27 year old daughter who was mistakenly diagnosed as bi-polar several years ago and put on lithium, which resulted in her balooning to 315 pounds..which led to her death from becoming morbidly obese (circulatory collapse), I would trade in my life to have her back even if she gained an additional 200 pounds, had a hair-lip and any other ’so-called’ imperfection. Her heart was gentle and loving and those of you who ridicule others are truly small.
Those of you who ridicule anyone who is overweight or less than sexy looking do not have a clue as to what really matters in a person or in life.
Irina Nekrassova is beautiful. You say she will crush me if I mispronounce her name. Promise? I felt so sorry for her. She should have won the olympics. Irina, come to South Africa and I will make you feel better…for ever! To hell with weights.

Oh how awful, that these women pursued their chosen sport to the finest and achieved greatness in weightlifting! Instead of “being feminine”. I have no doubt this random blogger and most of those posting comments about femininity are fat, ugly, and have manboobs larger than the bag of chips which is probably all you can lift.. lol..
